Admissions Process

Thank you for your interest in London Waldorf School.

We understand that the process of choosing a school for your child is a significant one in the life of your family, and we are happy to help if you have questions!

London Waldorf School has been established since 1980, and is part of the fastest-growing independent school movement in the world with more than 1000 Waldorf schools in 83 countries. We are fully-accredited by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and a Full Member of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN).

London Waldorf School programming currently includes: Licensed Childcare Toddler and Preschool programs, Kindergarten programs, and Grade School education from Grades 1 to 8.

The unique curriculum at our school is best understood in person. This is why our application process includes tours and time in the classrooms, allowing you to experience our holistic, developmentally appropriate and experiential approach to education first hand.

We invite you to fill out an inquiry form for more information.

Waldorf has become the largest independent, non-denominational education in the world, with over 1,000 schools in 83 countries.

The London Waldorf School’s application process, which begins with an inquiry is designed to provide an exchange of information so that you can learn more about our programs and we can learn more about your child and family. The Waldorf curriculum is grounded in the knowledge that children have distinct, age-related educational and emotional needs according to their naturally unfolding stages of development.

London Waldorf School is accredited by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA), and the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN).

London Waldorf School offers a complete curriculum from our licensed childcare programs through 8th grade.

We accept applications throughout the year for consideration when space becomes available. Interviews may take place at any time, and when space permits, a student may enter the class during the school year as well as at the beginning of September. The entire registration process will generally take a minimum of one week and can take up to three weeks.

“If you’ve had the experience of binding a book, knitting a sock, playing a recorder, then you feel that you can build a rocket ship – or learn a software program you’ve never touched. It’s not bravado, just a quiet confidence. There is nothing you can’t do. Why couldn’t you? Why couldn’t anybody?”

Peter Nitze
Former Waldorf Student, Harvard Graduate

“Waldorf education draws out the best of qualities in young people – the values they learn provide a lifelong platform from which to grow.”

Gilbert Grosvenor
President Emeritus, National Geographic Society
