Our licensed toddler programing offers what the youngest children need for their best development: a home-like environment with warm and supportive caregivers.
These early years are critical for the healthy development of the child. We take great care that the young child is in a beautiful and natural environment that echoes the home with a caregiver who is nurturing and warm. This lays the foundation for children to feel comfortable and secure in their environment and therefore free to develop at their own pace. Gross and fine motor skills, oral and receptive language, musical gifts, social awareness, love for the natural world and the beginnings of self-care abilities are some of the skill sets that the young children learn as they play and work amongst respectful and observant teachers.
Each day begins with a fruit snack, followed by a circle of beloved nursery rhymes, movements and finger puppet activities. A warm midmorning snack is prepared each day, and shared together at the table like a family. Time is spent everyday outside exploring the naturalized playground. The afternoon includes a nutritious lunch and a nap.
Our Licensed Childcare programming may be offered with full or half-day options. Registration is limited.
Canada-Wide Early Learning & Child Care (CWELCC)
After a great deal of research and discussion, London Waldorf School has decided not to move forward with taking part in the CWELCC at this time. We did not take this decision lightly, and will continue to review new developments in this area.
